Re: OS-dependend CHMs

Thank you for your reply. Yes, we want to keep the installation file as small as possible. Unfortunately, it is not possible to offer multiple installation programs just because of different help files. I don't think that our customers will like that kind of thing... If you would know our software ...

OS-dependend CHMs

Hello everyone,

I have the following question: Is it possible to build a chm which contains os-dependent content (especially TOC & content/topics). The current situation is like the following:
3 Target definitions (WinXP, Vista, 7) which contain the specific content for each OS with different ...

Re: Count HTML Help calls

my idea was to get a script which "pings" a certain file on a server once a topic is viewed... unfortunately, my js skills are low, I hoped someone could post a link with a similar script.

Count HTML Help calls

Hello,

I'm searching for an fast an easy way to count HTML Help calls. There are no details needed, all I want is to see how often HTML Help is used and (maybe) how often a certain topic is opened.
MadCap Feedback is too much for this purpose so anything except this way, please. Maybe a simple ...

Re: Tutorial: Flare 4.2.1 + SVN + TAMTAM SVN SCC

the first problem we had was a very slow transfer rate (took about 2 mins to add the new/empty flare project to the svn) which COULD be a result of the protocol we use (https). however, with the tamtam plugin the transfer rate is quite well.
the second and probably most annoying problem was that the ...

Tutorial: Flare 4.2.1 + SVN + TAMTAM SVN SCC

Hi everyone...

my company recently added Source Control to Flare. First, we tried to use the pushOK-Plugin but we had several problems with it as it seems to be very strict concerning TortoiseSVN versions.

After a few hours I tried the following plugin which seems to work very fast :

Re: TOC: Polish characters/wrong encoding

It may sound funny, but finally it worked.
I don't know exactly why, the only thing I did was recompiling the project for Word output (to see if the characters are shown correctly) and when I changed back to HTML Help output everything went fine...
Another thing I did was to enable the option that ...

TOC: Polish characters/wrong encoding

Hello,

I am currently working on a polish translation. When I try to compile my project, the TOC in HTML Help seems to ignore/is unable to show the correct polish characters.
Please see the attached screenshot for my problem.

I already tried to use "ł" instead of "Å‚" and also to compile the ...
