Feedback Server Data Output Options
I was asked by my manager to provide some reports of the Feedback Data for his board report recently.
Went and had a look and was surprised to find that the only 2 options you can use to export data is in csv or txt file.
I would have expected some other options such as PDF and HTML/MHT.

Re: Making WebHelp load faster?
Yet to upgrade to Flare 8 due to an imminent software release.
However, I was wondering if the issue of Webhelp load speed has been resolved (or reduced) with the new webhelp output in Flare 8.
Does anyone have any feedback along these lines?
Thanks,

Re: Image Map option greyed out
No, the image isn't floated. It is simply inserted with the following example code:
<p> <img src="../images/module_families.png" /> </p>
I still can't get the Image Map right click context option, so am going to log a support case.

Image Map option greyed out
I am noticing an inconsistency in the Image Map context menu option in Flare 7.2
All of our images I have tried it on are png format. When I right-click an image in a topic, the Image Map option is greyed out most of the time.
I have only found one image so far this afternoon where the option is ...

Hi i-tietz
I assumed by your reference to alias files being treated more like glossary files that you were referring to the fact that the glossary has more functionality within the Webhelp target than the alias file does.

Re: Can you apply condition tags to individual alias entries?
OK, I have logged a case with MadCap for this. It is case 32145 if you are interested.
Let's see how we go and if we get some enhancements in this area.
Cheers,

Re: Can you apply condition tags to individual alias entries?
Thanks, I thought as much.
It would be good if you could single source down to that level, but having 2 alias files (one for each target) is an acceptable solution, and what we will be going with.

Can you apply condition tags to individual alias entries?
Hi,
As the subject states:
In Flare 7.2, are you able to apply condition tags to individual entries in the *.flali file?
From the Flare help it doesn't appear that you can.
Thanks

Thanks for responding.
Yes, I have done that through a couple of enhancement requests. I posted here also as I thought it would be advantageous to have my question answered on the forum for the wider audience as the issue seems to affect a few people.

Thanks for the update Valiant.
OK at this point it really comes down to one specific issue for me, and that is the way that the CSH works. I can probably accept the 5, 10, or 15 second load time upon initial load, but what I have a big problem with is the fact that this same delay happens EVERY ...

Just wondering if there is any update on this issue and whether MiniTOC proxies work for Word/PDF targets now in Flare 6.1.

Webhelp Output Showing Repeated Accordion Panes

When you view the output, in both IE and Firefox, the accordion pane is repeated continuously across the page. This happens in one project, however, I have tested in a couple of ...

Re: Variables not substituted in Webhelp output
I should have stated at the start that the Flare version I am using is 5.0.0.
What you show below is the code in the Flare editor, which is fine and what I was seeing also.
However, the problem is that when you create the WebHelp output, the variable value is not being substituted in. Actually, I ...

Re: Variables not substituted in Webhelp output
Yes, that is correct.
I would have thought that upon creation of the Webhelp output, the variable value would have been substituted in and inherited the style for the location in which it is placed. That is, the code would have been as follows and the variable would become styled as per h1:

Variables not substituted in Webhelp output
We are migrating to Flare and as part of that have started implementing variables across all of our projects.
