SQL Server Account/PW change?
Feedback Server v4 is installed with the SQL server on another machine. During installation we specified a login/pw so that Feedback could access the SQL server, but that password is set to expire Saturday and we can't figure out where to update it. Can anyone help?

Upgrading to v3 from v2: Import Data?
After installing v3, I can't see anything in the Feedback Admin on the server except "uninstall" and "import data" buttons. Do I have to import data for this version? If not, why can't I see the Feedback instances set up on the server?

Best way to create a <div>?
I frequently need to add divs to topics (usually to group multiple paragraphs together so I can name the div for a toggler). Is there an easier way to create a div than to go to Insert > Text Box ?

Remove From Source Control checkbox when deleting files
When deleting a topic in source control, there's a checkbox on the confirmation screen labeled Remove From Source Control . This caused me some confusion, so after a little playing around I (think I) figured out how things work.
When I select the checkbox, Flare deletes the local copy and the ...

Re: registration (user profile) problems
I'm still having this problem. I've had to allow anonymous comments, but I don't like this as it doesn't prompt users for their e-mail address, so I have no way to respond to direct questions or ask for more information without doing so as a response to their comment, and the user won't get an e ...

Re: Create "Open topic with navigation" link on toolbar
Ah, I'd forgotten about MOTW.
Guess I'm just looking for a more elegant solution. The prompt box that Explorer puts up is kind of, well, ugly. I'll keep looking, but this has been a great place for me to start. Thanks again.

Dave, thanks for the info; this is really useful.
One request: Is there some way to do this that doesn't use the prompt command? Our users are internal to the company, and the company uses Internet Explorer. As I understand it, IE version 7 and up warns users that the page wants to run a script ...

Re: Display topic URL
I'm looking for a way to do this too, but it's more for our users. We're using WebHelp Plus, and we show the navigation link at the top of a topic when it's opened outside of the Help system. What I'd like to be able to do is give users a way to create or copy a link to each topic so that they might ...

Can't create snippets with text and tables
I'm trying to create a snippet from existing content that includes regular text blocks (paragraphs & headings) as well as a table. When I select everything I want in the snippet, the Create Snippet option in the Format menu is unavailable. I notice, though, that I can create a snippet if I select ...

Re: Open link by default in a specific tab
I think I found the problem: The Advanced tab of the WebHelp Plus target has a Generate all skins checkbox. I had it unchecked. I'll build it again and see what happens.

Re: Open link by default in a specific tab
If that's what you're asking, the only way I've been able to do it is create multiple skins, each one with a different tab set as the default tab, then in the app calling the help, the link to call the index loads the help with the appropriate skin.
Lisa, how do you associated multiple skins with ...

Re: Hosting Issues with WebHelp Plus
I'm surprised no one has asked this yet, but have you read the "FAQs—WebHelp Plus" help file? It provides a number of answers to issues that come up when setting up an Webhelp Plus output.
Just search MadCap Flare's help file for "Webhelp Plus"; the FAQ should be the first result listed.

Re: ToC stopped working in WebHelp Plus
Yes, the web service appears to be configured per the instructions. It had already been set up this way and working properly. Now it isn't, so I'm wondering what changed. The only thing I can attribute it to is the upgrade to 6.1, though I had a coworker (who hadn't yet upgraded) build and publish ...

ToC stopped working in WebHelp Plus
After building a new WebHelp Plus target and publishing it, I noticed the ToC and Search don't work.
In the past, this was due to not having the Index Service set up correctly on the server, so I checked those settings. Everything seems to be working, and I can query the catalog directly. As ...

Re: registration (user profile) problems
I'm having this problem now too. Brand new project created in Flare 6, using Feedback Server 2. My Webhelp Plus output displays the comments section at the bottom of every topic (as it should) but it never seems to recognize me as a registered user. I have the same issue with both IE8 and Google ...

I'm having a similar issue with my ToC, and thought this fix might help, but I'm confused by the following section:
Where are the "GetToc" link and "Invoke" button supposed to appear? At the top of what?chrisd wrote: Then click on the GetToc link, and then the Invoke button near the top.
