Hi
I've recently changed one of my style sheets and included some 'clear' and 'float' properties on paragraph tags. I'm not sure if it's related, but my drop-down text no longer works with the new style sheet. I've compared the old and the new style sheets and I cannot find anything different that ...

Condition tags and ordered list numbers
Hello,
I am replacing my procedure tables with ordered lists. When I set a condition tag on the
and exclude that condition from the target, the list number still appears in the output. Is there any way to hide the number when the condition is excluded?

Hi
I've noticed that some of my output targets suddenly stop working and return an 'index out of range' error. I've narrowed the problem down to the condition tags, but I'm not sure why they work for a while and then stop working. This applies to both PDF and WebHelp targets.

Re: TOC in PDF runs off the page
Well, I solved my own problem. I had the 'table' style set to clear: both; float: left. I set those back to default and my TOC generated just fine.
Hope that's helpful to someone else!

TOC in PDF runs off the page
Hi
Has anyone seen this before? My TOC proxy generates a TOC that runs off the edge of the first page of the TOC rather than creating multiple pages. I suspect I have done something to my style sheet, but I'm not sure what to check.
Thanks!

Re: Auto-numbering in WebHelp output
I have figured out that the problem is due to the way the divs are handled in the external style sheet I was given to use.
Thanks!

Re: Auto-numbering in WebHelp output
Hello Dave
Yes, the auto-numbering is set in both default and non-print media. I am guessing that the problem has to do with the margin settings, as my project uses an external style sheet with a frame margin of -12 px.
I've attached screen captures to show what's happening.

 inserted next to span tags
Hi
I've been very careful with spacing while entering text, but Flare seems to be adding tags after span tags. This is causing extra spaces to appear between words in printed output.
This happens when a space character is outside of the span tag.

Re: Previous/Next Topic buttons
That's an interesting question. In my case, I had dragged in the topic with the variable, and then manually modified the variable. So, a combination of both.
Thanks

Well, I removed the variables from the TOC, and now my WebHelp previous and next buttons work as expected. The project was never in Frame at all.

Re: Previous/Next Topic buttons
Right, you cannot have any variables at all defined for a TOC entry. Of course, variables within the topics themselves are fine.
Hope that helps

According to tech support, the bug is that you cannot have a variable within a TOC entry. That solved the problem!

Thanks Bob!
I am using Flare 5. I didn't realise that the default settings for the Print button would print only the topic frame.
Thanks again!

This looks like my best solution for controlling table and column widths in Word output.
