Thx FeeBeeGeeBee. This was my test result too. Yes it would be nice if PDFs could be made searchable without need of an IS server.

In HTML5 output, how to find a search hit in TOC context
All-
When performing a search in an HTML5 triplane output, and then clicking on a search hit to open it, is there a way to have the TOC expand to show the location of the topic in the TOC (if indeed it's in the TOC)? In this way, the reader can see some context for the topic, such as what it's ...

Thanks devans. Turns out that there was a default image set for the main page that I didn't notice. I removed it, and my selected colors appeared.

In HTML5 output, how to change color next to logo...
Hi.
There's at least two areas of HTML5 output whose colors I can't seem to control in the HTML5 skin editor:
1) The header bar (that would be behind and to the right of the logo)
2) The the space behind the navigation tabs (possibly the same thing as #1).

Re: Exporting individual topics for review?
Thanks Nita and Dan.
I suppose one could maintain one or more review TOCs and copy topics in and out as needed.I suppose the topics can be opened/edited with in the review TOC, and the same topics in the main working TOC(s) would be updated too (They'd need re-publishing, of course.)

Re: Exporting individual topics for review?
Nita- Do you know of an efficient way to include multiple topics into a PDF for review? The method you describe above appears to only work for the one topic at a time (the "active file"). Perhaps the Review TOC method you describe for Word also works for PDF?
Thx.

Re: Exporting individual topics for review?
Thanks for this timely thread. I've been wondering about non-Contributor methods of review. I'm glad to see that it's easy to print commentable PDFs.
For us, it's not so much the cost of Contributor, but that there's a lot of non-Windows reviewers in my company.

Is over 8GB RAM recommended for system running Flare 11
Hi. Does anyone consider it useful to have more than 8GB RAM on a system running recent versions of Flare? Some forum threads suggest that might be the case.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Best method for breaking up a topic into smaller topics?
Hi. Can anyone recommend an efficient way to break up a Flare topic into smaller topics?

Thanks David.
Interestingly, a quick test shows that this is NOT the behavior for conditions. That is, if a condition is renamed, and they you open a topic that contains that condition, the condition has the new name.

What is the best way to rename a style that's in use?
Hi. I've found through experimentation that when I Rename a style, references to that style from topic elements seem to live on with the original style name. The text gets some default format.

Anyone using WebHelp Plus for project merging and fed search
Hi. Is anyone using WebHelp Plus to good effect? I'm very interested in using it to merge projects and for federated search (to return non-HTML files in the search hits area.)
And, any gotchas to the setup?
Thanks in advance!

How to supress the messages window from popping up
Hi. When I do some things, such as dragging/dropping a block from one place to another in a topic, the messages tab pops up. I have to close it manually each time.
Is there a way to supress the messages tab from popping up?
Thanks.

Do user ratings (stars) affect search results?
Hi. I'm wondering if the ratings that users give topics affect the ranking of search hits, from a WebHelp Plus user interface.
Also, does Pulse otherwise track the hits that a user clicks on for a given search term, and give the hit a higher priority from subsequent hits? Here, I'm interested to ...

How many SQL Server client access licenses are required?
Hi.
Could someone advise:

> If Pulse will work with SQL Server 2014? (Requirements mention SQL Server 2012, nothing later.)
Thanks!

Step numbering/style questions importing RoboHelp
Hi. I'm using the Flare 10 trial to do a test import of a RoboHelp 10 project. I'm noticing 2 things:
1) The paragraph numbering for procedure steps aren't imported. (They are formatted using the autonumber feature of RH.)
2) I can't see the names of the imported paragraph styles, if indeed they ...

Hi- I'm a prospective Flare user with a quick question: In the wysiwyg editor, is it possible to display some conditioned text while hiding others. (ie, not just in the output, but in the editor too). Can I also turn on/off the condition indicator in the editor. In short, does Flair allow me to ...
