Re: Changing customized WebHelp Skin from green to blue?

Oh, and if you are feeling really brave, you can open the skin file in a normal text editor (outside Flare).

Thanks much. This is the approach I'm taking because copying gets me only half-way there: I still have to find all the color defs, icon references, and so on.

It's funny (peculiar, not ha ...

Re: Context Sensitive Help in HTML-based Web applications?

Also, any developer should be able to use XML (de-)serialisation to extract and use the information - this is very basic and easy stuff for a developer.
Thanks Dave. That helps — on the technical side. But not all problems are purely technical.

Old "glossaryTerm" versus new "madcap:glossaryTerm"?

For old Flare projects, is there any need to update older style glossary tags to match the style of newer projects' tags?

I am updating a VERY old Flare project (version 3, I think).

The old project contains glossary entries of the form <glossaryTerm> </glossaryTerm> . If I use Flare 10 ...

V10 Slideshow: Customize Back / Next icons?

For Flare 10.01 Slideshows.

What's the trick to reliably yet non-destructively customizing a Slideshow project's Back / Next navigation buttons?

"Reliably" because I don't want to have to manually replace the image file each time I build the Slideshow.

"Non-destructively" because I ...

Re: For SVG graphics, what are the system dependencies?

Just as an FYI - the current version of JRE is 7u55.
For what it's worth, version 8 is working well with all the programs I run that require a JRE. The programs that come immediately to mind are Eclipse 4 (a.k.a. Kepler), jEdit 5, a file synchronization utility called DirSyncPro, and of course ...

Re: V10 Slideshow: Trick to copying and pasting slides?

To add a bit to my own thread, I had initially supposed that there wasn't a Copy Slide function because copying a Slideshow slide might involve too much shifting around of XML to be feasible.

But in a Slideshow's structure bars, it's possible to resequence slides by dragging a slide's structure bar ...

For Flare 10.1 today, although I've seen a similar occurrence in Flare 9, too.

I doubt there'll be an answer to the questions I ask in this Topic, but I thought I'd share my experience just for fun.

I suspect that table stylesheet changes are one of the things that won't be backward compatible. Once some of my tables have been updated to Flare 9, looking at the things that have changed, I suspect that Flare 7 would have trouble with them, but I've not tried it.

Re: Quick way to identify the Flare version of a project?

Are there other compatibility issues you've seen?
Per the What's New in Flare 10? topic in the online help, V10's HTML5 skins have been redesigned for sure. V10 Page Layouts contain frame-rotation features that if used will almost certainly confound Flare 9(?)

Mini TOC after H2 can only list subordinate headings, right?

For Flare 9 although I don't think it's a version specific question.

Mini TOCs always stop listing subordinate headings when it encounters ...
