Does anyone know an efficient and safe way to quickly combine two identical table styles, both with the same number of columns, into one table?
I've done a couple by putting the tables one after another in the topic editor, then hand-editing the XML. But this is a fidgety and perilous business and ...

pre should preserve indentation (assuming it is tabs).
I believe from past experience that I need to replace tabs with hard / non-breaking spaces.

Thanks much! -- *pre* is a BIG help. At least I get my line breaks.
Next step for me is to figure out how to preserve the indentation.

Fast way to tidy / prettify Java, XML, HTML code samples?
My hope is that someone has figured out a quick and more or less repetitively automated way to get code samples into Flare topic files so that the samples look good. Right now I have a big mess on my hands -- I need to figure out how to efficiently format imported Java, XML, and HTML code samples ...

For Flare 6, has anyone figured out a good way to simultaneously indent multiple Flare TOC entries at the same time?

Flare 6.1 update available -- list of resolved issues?
This afternoon Flare 6.0 notified me that Flare 6.1 was available for download. So I downloaded and installed it and it appears to be working just fine.
However, I'd be interested in seeing what bug fixes, etc., when into 6.1. Does anyone know how one goes about doing that?

After a bit of research, my understanding of Flare 6's Project Import functionality has evolved to the following.

Re: Sanity check -- Heading levels in Snippets don't follow TOC?
Are you saying that's not happening with a snippet that has a heading in it?
That's exactly what I'm saying. More specifically:
1. I created a Snippet that began with an H1 title for the content.
2. I created a topic file at TOC level 2, then inserted the snippet into that topic file.
3. I gen ...

Sanity check -- Heading levels in Snippets don't follow TOC?
I'm pretty sure I've already answered my own question, but want to sanity check this.

AIR reader experience -- yay or nay?
I've been futzing around with Flare 6's Adobe AIR target. The reader "workflow" imposed by AIR seems a bit convoluted.

Re: IMPORT -- "links" to imported files aren't really links?
I think the issue here is a misunderstanding of what Flare is doing--I don't think it's LINKING files from the global to the non-global ("local"), it's CLONING them.

IMPORT -- "links" to imported files aren't really links?
For Flare 6. Simply put, twenty years of working with computers has taught me that IF I click a link-ized icon, THEN I open the file pointed to by the link. But Flare doesn't seem to work that way...?

That's a a very good idea. To be continued…If you want to go the Lingo route you may ask MadCap sales about translation service companies that bought Lingo and offer that as a service.
