Anyone ever tried Flare in a Windows VM under Linux?

------
Has anyone experimented with running Flare (current release == V12 as of this writing) in a Windows 7 virtual machine running under Linux?

Windows 10 has me seriously considering making Linux (Mint) my primary operating system and using a Windows 7 VM to run Windows-only programs.

At ...

Re: GIT - What does NOT get Pushed or Pulled

Not sure about V12, but I noticed that if one binds a Flare 11 project to Git, then Flare creates a default .gitignore file. That file contains:

.gitignore
Output
Analyzer
FileSync
Project/Users
There's a bit more about earlier versions of Flare vis-a-vis Git here:

mc-thumbnail-max-width won't permit % units?

------
For Flare 11, although my question also applies to V12.

It appears, at least in V11, that one cannot specify percentage units for mc-thumbnail-max-width ?

For example, this CSS creates functional thumbnails that enlarge on hover:

img.Screenshots01
{
mc-thumbnail: hover;
mc-thumbnail-max ...

Re: V11 Related Topics problem -- links and H1 text

Well I somehow resolved my own problem. But I have no idea how.

To recap, this was a very simple two-topics demo project I created for someone. I based it on Flare 11's HTML5 tripane help and deleted the template's default topic files because I didn't need any of them.

At that point the two ...

Re: How does Flare "know" that P follows Hn?

Thanks Nita!

I hadn't come across the mc-next-tag and mc-next-class attributes. Handy to know 'bout those, and how they need to be used together, for "someday", maybe.

Now that I know about those, it would not surprise me to learn that Flare's built-in style sheet has default values for them. Say ...

How does Flare "know" that P follows Hn?

For Flare 11, although this isn't a version specific question.

■In the Flare XML Editor, IF i insert a heading element (H1-6) then press ENTER, THEN Flare automatically creates a P (for paragraph) element.

QUESTION: What mechanism controls that behavior? I'm merely curious in a "just for fun" way ...

For Flare 11, fully updated, W7 64-bit, HTML5 TopNav template.

A related problem is that the Related Link text is the filename, not the topic's H1 ...

For Flare 11.

Yes, a few times. But it seems to only "work" with a viewer. That is, try opening the output in a browser -- the content doesn't "stand alone"(?)
