Re: No PDF bookmarks with paragraph headings
Can I ask why you have p.Heading1 as well as regular heading 1? If there's no reason other than "that's how it came in from Word", then the most robust solution would be to change them to regular heading 1.

Re: Tidying up Text Editor content - any easy way?
Thanks, paul_collins, but I disagree with your suggestion that having <p>s inside <li>s would fix it, because I have lots of topics where the lists are displayed beautifully in the Text Editor window without having <p>s inside them. And it's not just lists, it's everything, even in topics that don't ...

Tidying up Text Editor content - any easy way?
Hi all. In some of my topics, when I look at them in the Text Editor, they're neatly laid out, making them easy to follow, so something like this (the underline isn't there, it's just to show the spacing):
<p>This is a paragraph</p>
<ul>
___<li>This is a list.</li>
</ul>
etc
But in some topics ...

Re: Topic text flowing outside of 'body' frame
That's not a valid condition, I don't think. Did you insert that in the code editor?
Instead it should be something like this, so the condition is applied to the <ol>:
<ol MadCap:conditions="MyConditions.Draft">
<li>...</li>

Re: Topic text flowing outside of 'body' frame
If they both end at the same spot, then they're overlapping. Adjust the bottom of the body frame so that it ends before the start of the footer frame.

Re: Topic text flowing outside of 'body' frame
Select the BODY frame. If it overlaps the FOOTER frame, then adjust the size of the BODY frame - drag the bottom border up so it doesn't overlap, or be more precise if you need to. That should sort you out. Let us know if that was the problem.

Re: Synchronize navigation elements with TOC entries not working as I expect
I suspect it's actually working as expected, so I'd like to suggest a different way to do things, because you're already more than half way there.
1. Open one of the topics (doesn't matter which, as they've got identical content).
2. Create a snippet that contains everything except the first ...

Re: Text outside of paragraph tags
Good to know that it's allowed , but how on earth do you even make that happen from within Flare? As far as I can see, the only way you can get the second <p> (the bit with "Some more text" in your example) is by messing around in the Code Editor. If you want to have that second paragraph, you have ...

Re: Topic text flowing outside of 'body' frame
What does your page layout look like? Are the frames (or whatever they're called) for the body and the footer overlapping at all?
If not, then in your stylesheet do you have things set up so that lots of styles have page-break: avoid?

Re: How to add tooltip on all thumbnail images with a specific class
You could try a search and replace in the code of your topics and snippets.
For example, I have this in the code in my document:
img src="../../Images/Test_Dialog box.jpg" class="Thumbnail"
If you want to add the tooltip that says "Click to enlarge" on all images with class=Thumbnail":

How to set table width to autofit to 100% in table stylesheet
I've had a play with my table stylesheets and can't see how I can set my tablestyles to always be 100% (autofit to window, if you adjust an individual table's properties).
I've tried adding width: 100%; to the end of the mcTableStyle thing in the code, but that has no effect. I also have this in ...

Re: Double Headings in Zendesk and Weird Link at the top of article
Sorry for the delay, I haven't checked the forums for a while. There is an way to do this, and it's described in the series of Zendesk videos that Flare have released. Sorry a second time, I can't remember which video or what the exact solution is, but if you whizz through the videos (set the speed ...

Re: Using variables in paths
The use case for me is that I have topics that are mostly the same but the screen shots are different for every client. I want to use a variable to point to a different folder for every client. The file names for the screen shots are the same. Only the folder is different.
This functionality ...

Re: Zendesk Credentials Issue
I had this problem, and it was a Zendesk authorisation thing. You need to be a very specific type of Zendesk admin, not just their "admin lite" thing. I can't remember the exact terminology, and the Flare docs on Zendesk stuff could do with being updated with the current Zendesk terminology.

Re: On the fly definition of variables as part of target building
Can't think of any way to do that, but how many different versions of the manual do you need to build? Could you have three or four targets with those variables set, so you don't have to think about setting them each time? It might be a bit too much of a pain if you have more than two different ...

Re: Creating a soft line break in Flare?
Thank you both - I will tell the author to give it a try.
She needs to use soft breaks, not P Tags due the spacing - this is for screen text input/output, so she doesn't want the large space in between lines, but for regular content the spacing must remain as is with regular P tags.
Thank you ...

Re: Conditions based on mobile OS
You could do it with the WIDTH thing. Not in Flare at the moment, but you can define what medium is used depending on the width of the screen. Because mobile screens are typically a lot narrower than tablets or laptops, that's how I would approach the problem.

Re: Table rows disappear when making edits
I'm guessing your primary target is PDF. I seem to remember coming across that bug years and years ago, and the way I got round it was to set the primary target to a web target (don't quote me on that - it was lots of years ago, so I might be misremembering). I can't remember if I ever logged a bug ...
