Re: Unable to Action a Condition in a Target
You might want to open your target as a text file so you can see exactly what's going on. Either that, or are you using advanced conditions?

Re: Error: "Build Failed: The directory is not empty"
Check that Acrobat isn't "holding onto" your generated PDF. I've sometimes even had to close Outlook to release the output! (Yes, I know, it's weird.)

Another useful way to find this is to view the TOC using the GRID view, as you can see where your chapter breaks are very easily.

Re: Showing content only in micro content?
Just thinking and not tried it, but could you also have a condition called "micro-content-only" and apply it to the bit you don't want in the main topic? Would something like that work?

Re: Extra column in tables in html
I am not allowed to look at Slack (because "Security") so could you please post the answer in the forums too? Thanks.
I'm guessing it's because the three specified columns don't add up to 100%, but would be good to know if it's something else.

It may also depend on how you've inserted the snippets - if SnippetBlock, they keep their own formatting. If SnippetText, they're inserted as text and don't keep their own formatting.

In your TOC, make sure you set a chapter break on each of your H1 topics, and check that you have also set the numbers to increment.

You might need to set a chapter break and then adjust the page numbering in the Properties dialog box for that TOC entry.

Re: Language settings for an autonum "Note:"
Thanks doloremipsum, but this isn't a translation project, it's a separate document that's written by some of my German colleagues and only appears in German, not English. Your information is definitely helpful for those dealing with translations, and I'll file that info away for when I do get back ...

Language settings for an autonum "Note:"
Not sure what to search for in the help for this.

Re: Is it possible to create snippets with blanks to fill?
If variables don't do it for you, you could create your snippet to contain your blank text:
"→ The application lands in the inbox of
→ In the index data of the application, the status changes to

Whenever you need it, insert the snippet, right-click the ...

Re: Forcing imports to run at the start of a build?
So as this seems to be a general problem not just something I've done wrong, does anyone know how I can FORCE the Flare import file to run from doing something in Madbuild? Is there some kind of command or script I can use? I'm so close to being able to upgrade I can almost touch it, but until I get ...

Yes, I've noticed something around this problem this and raised a bug, number 172020 (details below) so if you raise a bug, mention the one I've already raised as it's probably linked.

Re: Forcing imports to run at the start of a build?
The problem has been narrowed down.
In my child project I have 25 or so WORD imports, but I also have a Flare import from my Globals project (which is the Flare project that contains the stylesheets, page layouts etc that the child project will use once everything's imported).

Re: Forcing imports to run at the start of a build?
Thanks Nita. I tried that, and checked all the import files. It's late and I'm off to bed, but I'll look further tomorrow morning. It may be that I've messed up something, seeing as I've been making lots of other changes, so I'm going to try the usual - quit Flare, delete Analyzer folder, and turn ...

Dave, you are a total star! I'll do a ton of testing and will let you know if it works.

Can I apply table styles as pre- or post-build event?
Long and painful story short, I have a ton of Word docs that get imported using scripts. I don't ever touch them in Flare but use build scripts to import the Word docs into a whole bunch of Flare projects and then generate PDF targets.

I can't vouch for it because I don't have the problem, but try opening the .fltar file in a text editor (I like Notepad++) and see if there's anything squiffy going on.

You could do worse than contact Tech Support, if you have a support package. I'm sure they'd love to get their teeth into something like this, and may have some very useful suggestions for you.
