Re: Image in the Page Layout for PDF

Yes, this is what I get in the output (pdf).

I have done exactly what you have explained.
I just noticed that the topic that I am linking to the title page, it has four pages when I preview it in the XML editor. I am not sure how I got four pages. I created it as a topic to be used as first page ...

Re: Image in the Page Layout for PDF

Thanks for your suggestion, Lisa.
Now I have:
Title page
Empty page
Right hand page (which is empty)
Empty Page
Right Page (Copyright page)

I am not sure why I am getting the first right page empty. I want Copyright to be there as the first right page after the title page.

Re: Image in the Page Layout for PDF

Thanks for your suggestion.
I inserted a new image frame in the title page and resized it so that it fills the entire page. When I create the PDF using this Page Layout, the title page and second page are identical i.e., same image on both pages.

In the TOC properties for the first entry, I have ...

Image in the Page Layout for PDF

Is there a way to resize the image in the Page Layout? I need to cover the front page of the PDF with Company branded image. I inserted an image frame in the title page. I think that the only way to insert the image in the image frame is by inserting it as a background image but you can't resize the ...

Zipping up Lingo Project

Acoording to Lingo help, there should be a Zip menu under File to zip up your project. I have Lingo version 4. I don't see this option. I do have Microsoft .NET 4 extended installed on my PC. In Lingo help, it is a requirement to have .NET 3 installed for Zip option to show up.

Importing help topics

Hi,
We need to import help topics into Flare Project. These topics are going to be written by another author who does not have Flare. The topics will have text plus images. We thought about using Notepad or Word.
What would be the best format/tool to write these help topics with so that we do not ...

Re: Two header / footer "objects", one left-aligned, one right?

Hi,
I am getting frustrated with the pagelayouts that I am using for printed target (PDF). I have inserted a footer in the front (title page) and have added two columns. I have added the Comapny address in the left column. I want to format the text. When I choose the p tag to create a new class, it ...

Re: Applying background colour to the help viewer

Sorry, Dave, I have done what you have suggested. It has not worked. I must be missing something crucial. It seems to me that first style class that I created a long time ago is hardcoded. Even after selecting the new Class it goes back to the old background colour.

Re: Pros & cons of different help systems

We have the integrated version and the CSH works fine. It's the lack of flexibility to style the output is the main problem.

Re: Pros & cons of different help systems

Thanks for your email. Our product is being developed with Dot Net 4. Ideally, we would like to have some integration with our product.
