I wonder how MadCap achieved the Design of their own Top Navigation Help:
The breadcrumb Proxy is on the Top of the page,
The Toolbar and the Menu proxies are on the side.
I'm using the TopNavigation Template from Flare and tried to make my Master Page layout looking like that - but I just don't ...

Problem with Umlaute in Equations
Hello all,
since MadCap removed the equation editor from Flare (I think it was with the release of V12), formulas are rendered different:
style attributes are ignored and Umlaute cannot be rendered properly any more.
This apllies to all formulas - those that were made with the integrated formula ...

Re: Wildcard search in WebHelp?
Obviously there is no such thing like Wildcard search in Webhelp output. The only improvement MadCap did is to introduce partial word search a couple of years ago. However this is not the same as wildcard search. And compiling with partail word search functionality increases compiling time as well ...

Re: Flare plugin manager cannot find my dll
thanks Laurie,
but no, this does not fix my problem.
My Plugin is called "FirstPlugin.dll" and the name of the sub-folder is "FirstPlugin".
Any other proposals?

Locate actual topic in navigation bar
Recently I had to switch my output format from WebHelp to html5 Output. Pretty quick I realized that html5 Output comes with a reduced scope of functionality in comparision with WebHelp.

Re: Removing auto-numbering from a single heading? [RESOLVED
Thank you Fiona for your help. I just found the reason why I couldn't find the "Properties"-Dialog and the "Position" Option. It is only available when you use the Stylesheet editor in the simplified view and I had the "advanced" view.
But anyways: I still don't get rid of the leading zeros ...

Re: Removing auto-numbering from a single heading? [RESOLVED
I have had the same question for a long time and I was really glad to find an answer here. Unfortunately it doesn't work in my case.
Maybe I got you wrong - could you please specify what you mean with "Properties > Auto Number"?
I use Flare 10 and I find no Property called "Auto Number" in the ...

Re: HTML5: Move Search bar into the toolbar?
I have a very simple solution using the Skin stylesheet.
Use the Style Tab of the Skin menu and change the following values:
Header
Height = 0 ...this wil make the header bar invisible
Search Bar
Height = 22
Border
Top = 21 ...this wil move the Search Bar from the (invisible) header into ...

thumbnail images - the 'hyperlink' option doesn't work
Hi folks,
I use the thumbnail functionality of Flare for a number of screenshots that appear in my help. So far I always used the popup-option for these and it worked pretty fine. However, I've got a few images that should open in a separate window. So I tried out to change their behavior into ...

I agree. Is there any hope that MadCap will fix that soon ? ...Steveman wrote:Bummer.
Anyway - Is there at least a way to fade out the drop down list for choosing the search filter then ?
I think it's ridiculous to display it when it is totally useless.
