Haven't seen that error message, but I have tried to use Mimic's on-screen video recording. My suggestion is, don't. I've never been happy with the results.

Re: Capture Crashed with a General Exceptio when Saving an I
GDI+ is a Windows utility, not Madcap's. Could be something in Capture going wrong to trigger it, but I'd look at the computer first. Can you put a trial version on another machine (Windows 10 perhaps) and try the image there?

Apologies for missing the detail of target choice. That's certainly relevant.

Re: Automatically convert H3 to dropdown
There's nothing that you can define for the h3 to turn it into a drop-down. You'll need to replace them all, where the h3 text becomes the drop-down title and everything following to the next heading gets wrapped into the drop-down body. Could get messy. Not sure if even pluqin's style replacer ...

Time to open your browser's style inspector and see what else is going on with that title. I created a .css file with your sample and used it in a simple .htm file. What I got looks like the following:

Re: Strange css interpretation
Lord knows I'm not CSS expert, but I think the first trouble may be related to how the font fits within its defining box. At the least, I'd specify the margins in terms of em rather than px. There are a couple of useful links that I refer to when I'm having trouble with this stuff...

Lot of questions for one post. I'll see what I can do...
a) Cross-references and formatting: Depends on the output, but in general it's a matter of setting your CSS to produce what you want.
b) That's what it does. Really, it's a good thing. There are other threads on the topic.
c) Reports. You ...

Border when capturing the active window
If I use Ctrl-Shift-A to capture the active window, I always get a border on three sides of the window, which is a view of whatever is behind the window. The Windows Alt-PrtScr combination doesn't do that. (Compare left and right images, attached.)

Re: Searches with multiple words don't return any results
IIRC, in version 12 Flare went from an implied "or" to an implied "and" between words in a search.
You might try enabling partial word searches. I can't find any notes for how to change back to an implied "or".

Re: Short DateTime Variable - month name GE/US
Two answers that I can think of. Pretty sure that you could write (or find) a JScript program to pull the date using any locale. Or, you could go the easy route and switch to the ISO format: YYYY mm dd.

You could try editing the xml file, SideMenu.flskn. At about line 57 you could copy the style class for the 4th level and name the copy 5th level. Just tried that in a sample project and the fifth level is available for formatting.

You can force word breaks with in the style for an element. Note that there may be browser support issues with that. There's also
If I may, I also suggest looking into using div tags to display columns rather than using tables.
Code: Select all
word-break: break-all;Code: Select all
overflow-wrap: break-word;
