bogus links
Every time I build for some targets, errors are reported about missing images.
These are not there, and I don't know why the build is trying to find them.
Any suggestions how to find bogus links? Obviously I can't click on them to find what links to them, since they're not there!

rename webhelp output folder (solved)
I've just seen where in the Target to rename a pdf file on publish, so that I can have a more formal name for the doc and consistent intuitive naming of the Targets.
However, I can't see how to do this for webhelp. I want to name the output folder differently from the Target name, is there a way to ...

I've tested it - only other thing was About, and turning it on or off is the same. Not sure you understand what I'm saying here, this is what appears:

Re: Mobile help TOC doesn't expand
this can't be changed? nobody else's help looks like this, it's highly undesirable to have to open the thing right at the start.
So not sure what you mean by 'normal' unless it means terrible!
Thanks for the reply, I hope there's a way 'round this.

Thanks for this!
This is my experience, many things that should just work require troubleshooting, replies from madcap, and explanation of how to make it work.
And yes, the docs - which I'd read were really good, pre-purchase - are sorely lacking. I've tried to use the comment feature to let them ...

I don't understand why this should be the case, why pdf output would be different from word, and why I keep having to do special steps to achieve the 'default' and desired results.

that's what I said in the first place, that I could do that - but it _should_ be based on the <a> class/style, instead of me just modifying the look.

Mobile help TOC doesn't expand
I thought this worked at one point, but using both the default and my skins for mobile help, the first page displays two entries only - TOC and About
This is obviously not what you want - the TOC should be expanded so that the Level 1 topics display when you open the thing.
The webhelp that uses ...

Re: TOC for Word and PDF NOT WORKING properly
hi all, thanks
I did finally resolve this, the mc-header level was wrong as suggested
However, I did not modify this
additionally, there is only one way to change it - from Advanced view in the stylesheet, change that property

Re: how do I make mini-toc use a link style?
it doesn't, that's the trouble - it displays as bold black text, no blue, no underline
many of these 'default' things don't work as expected and it's a bit difficult to track down why.
I haven't modified either of these, but they do not display as links, as both of you suggest they should.
thanks ...

images resize beautifully in word without me having to do anything
However, in the pdf they are cut off on the right. Very inelegant way to handle!! Anybody having success with PDF output?

Re: Thumbnail size
But what if you want the actual thumbnail to display bigger?
the mc-thumbnail stuff allows you to set maximum height, but I want them to be bigger, so you can actually see what it is a bit more.

TOC for Word and PDF NOT WORKING properly
Use TOC depth for heading levels doesn't work in word/pdf output either. It is exactly reversing level 1 and 2, which is a pain and renders it useless.
This may be in office 2010 but will check another time.

Do I have to set it up with blue, underline, etc, instead of just having it display as a link?? Suppose I can do that, but it's kinda odd

I set some conditions, and they are definitely not working. Any tips what I could be doing wrong, if that's the cause, would be greatly appreciated.

That list does come up - sometimes. I have to click a couple of times to get it, and sometimes by then the formatting's fubar.

blockquote not in Styles dropdown
why is blockquote not available in the Styles dropdown, and is there any way to make it so?
Ideally it would be in the List styles, since there doesn't seem to be any list continue style (to indent something without bulleting or numbering it)
thx

I dug around and found this once, clearly, as one file is named correctly, but now can't find it.
How does the html help get the 'webhelp' name, and where can I change this?
thx
