When the thumbnails expand, the whole screenshot isn't shown. It starts a bit in from the left edge, so left isn't shown.

There's no scrollbar on this frame either, the main frame.

If it's going to not show the whole image, it'd be much better if it started at the left and was missing the ...

Hi all

In a previous tool, I could create links to books or topics that may or not be published with a certain book. On publish, if the linked topic wasn't found, it removed the link and just used the text.

Can anybody tell me how this works in Flare? Yes, I will test it but thought I'd ask first ...

I finally have things working, far as I can tell :)
Under Devices > Network Adapter in configuration, I'm using Bridged Networking > Default Adapter.

This seems to allow me to see Mac folders, tho took a bit to find them. Using Shared Profile caused troubles, but could have been Flare got ...

Yes, it does seem like things are modifiable in several places, and not referenced or documented clearly. I've been using the feedback to submit on topics directly where I'd like to see things, but it's nice to have it confirmed.

Also good to know about that view - opening the stylesheet in simple view and double-clicking on a style allows me to set the properties as well.

I'd started the trial and error, starting out with body and li styles based on 10-pt, hope that will do it. Doesn't change the size of the TOC text, but seems to match a bit better.

How can I increase the default size for all fonts used, esp for online help?
I changed the <p> tag, but not sure if everything is based on it. I'll find out, I reckon, but tips would be great - I want the whole shebang to be bigger, and the nav text is not.

If you meant the topic's background color, then you'd need to set a background color for the html tag in the default medium of the topic stylesheet.

also by the way, trying to change that html tag in the styles.css file, there's only a reference to mc-master-page, nothing that can be edited. I ...

It is the MAIN/body, whatever you want to call where the topics turn up, which is a gray/brown (lucky you if you got default = white)
NOTE:
deleted the output and changed the 'body' tag in the stylesheet - which changed both the nav pane and the main window!! So maybe that's where some of the ...

Where exactly do you mean? Anything not related to the topic itself is in the skin, specifically under Styles. If you click on the items in there then the Skin Editor shows you which element in the skin you'll be changing.

I've looked at the skin, and many things can be changed there, but not the main frame - esp want to change that rather unfriendly gray background color.

Hmm, I think what happened was from Word imports. Unfortunately, it looks like this would be good to fix in Word before importing - probably not a big deal, but it looks weird and if I'm cleaning up I can see it.

Anyway, two normal spaces will always be shown as a single space in the editor or ...

Is there any easy way to see the image in the editor once I've applied the thumbnail style to it? It doesn't behave the way it will in the output, so does this mean I have to open an image in order to see it, if I've set it to thumbnail in the output?

Can anyone explain the implications of using a heading style within a topic, in terms of where the topic falls in the structure?

For instance, past tools I've used did not allow this as the heading level was determined by the topic's place in the book - if it's at level 3, heading 3 will be applied ...

Is there any way to see in the project or files where a condition has been used? I got used to Show Relationships in Author-it, which allowed you to see everything that had to do with anything.
