Oops, simultaneous update from madcap - yes, you can
Have a query out but in case someone here knows - Can I have two versions/instances of Flare installed?

Re: Bulleted Lists inside Table Cells
Brilliant, thanks so much!!
Back to this tomorrow, great tips to try. Driving me a bit mad, and your suggestions could be useful for other times I can’t figure out what’s overriding too - tho this is a first (and last, I hope).
Thanks again

Re: Bulleted Lists inside Table Cells
If by "available" you mean to see how it's configured in the Flare stylesheet editor, then I believe it should show up in the Advanced view under All Styles > (Complex Selectors).
If you mean how to tell if a style is being applied, then I'll quite often set a hideous background-color or font ...

not working for me - not sure if it needs to be added somewhere in particular, nor how you'd see it as 'available' but doesn't seem to help

Re: table troubles
it looks like Flare's not tracking the rowspans correctly - and unfortunately this is one of the few html things I don't want to do by hand (tables).
again, any tips appreciated, or if others have had this experience. I know Flare's tables are not great, but not being able to track the merged cells ...

I'm making a somewhat complex table to avoid the spreadsheet we're currently using (not that complex, but Flare and tables can be tricky).
On a cell where I merged two rows into one, the text I put in there was bleeding into the following row. Unmerge the cells and I can see it, but merge them ...

I'm still/again having trouble with page layouts not doing what I say.

Re: regex to add target property to end of external links
This works in Notepad++. The general idea should be the same in most regex tools, although the syntax might vary depending on the tool.
Find: (<a href="http.*?")(>)
Replace: \1 target="_blank"\2
Thanks so much! I just used Notepad++, any complete suggestion I was glad to go that route!!

Images not displaying full size in Flare xml editor
I have an image that's 600 pixels wide, that displays fine in snagit and everything else.
In Flare's xml editor, it is small and unreadable. There are no sizing tags, and no tags in the stylesheet for images.
Even clicking and 'open link' in Flare, it looks the same - but different than when the ...

auto-generate TOC
I have a TOC with many topics for web apps. Each web app is on a single page/topic. The headings inside the topic are represented in the TOC - but they only link to the top of the topic. This is imported content, and the filename markers from Frame are not recognized.

Apologies if I posted something similar, now I'm using Analyzer a lot I'm more clear what's happening.
I fix broken links on one or more records in the list, and the screen doesn't update. So I end up doing the same fixes repeatedly, and/or not being sure if my changes have been applied.

Merge condition and variable files
Frame import brings in a new one of each of these for each book imported. The conditions are used across all the books, and possible future imports.
If I move these into a single book, anybody know if that works? Will Flare look for the named condition, or can I repoint it?
We have Analyzer so ...

Hi, and thanks
I did import that header file - but it was not clear what should be in it. I got it now, but not good news.
I can get the GUI ID list into Flare, but will have to assign the topics manually.

The header and alias files brought in by the initial Frame import were wrong - it put the topic name in the Identifier column.

header file from js?
I'm trying to import a file to be our header file. It's actually a .js file but thought it might at least populate some info.
However, even tho I renamed it to .h, Flare does not see it on trying to create from existing.
Any tips on how to get this info into Flare, rather than have to do it ...
