Re: Easy way to re-associate a paragraph with a new tag
Post a section of your code that has multiple list levels, if you only want to replace the 2nd level then we can probably match that using a regular expression. Depends what your code looks like. Post it below and I'll check it out.

You could use a snippet for your variable B instead.

Did you put the image in the masterpage or the pagelayout? Sounds like you only put it in the pagelayout.
Flare uses page layouts for print targets and masterpages for online targets.

Re: Easy way to re-associate a paragraph with a new tag
Couldn't you just run a find/replace on :<ul style="list-style-type: circle;"><li>
and replace it with <ul style="list-style-type: circle;"><li.secondlevel>
This is the <li> tag that you're talking about right? if need be, you could use a regular expression to hihglight just that <li> tag.

Can definitely be done with a find/replace but you might need to use regular expressions. Post both sets of code and we'll take a look.

Re: Can the Accordion Location Be Moved?
Are you talking about just the active accordion label or all of them? I did submit a feature request for the active accordion label to move to the top of the nav pane. We have a custom skin that has removed the accordion labels that you get in the top toolbar section and replaced it with our product ...

Put that copyright snippet in your masterpage. That'll ensure its on every page. I do something simlar for webhelp, and include the help version number too, its in a footer bar that sits at the bottom of every topic, regardless of the topic length.

Re: PDF: Whitespace in headings being replaced by spaces
Hi,
That looks a bit annoying. Is it only with H2 levels, or just heading levels in particular? You could use a find/replace to remove the returns if that is the case.
It looks like there is a return and a single white space character in there as well. Turn on Show/Hide Spaces to see if there's one ...

In the timeline, you should right-click the objects that are flickering and make sure Customize time span is not selected. This should fix it.

New Target is probably best. Though you don't HAVE to.
You could use your existing target and TOC and create conditionals that are a one-off build and apply these where you need. Though it can get messy after a while if you're doing it a lot.

Hi,
Not quite sure what you are trying to achieve. Probably just confusion between RH and Flare terminology or I'm just too tired after the long weekend.
Let me see if I have this right, you want to put a bookmark (not a topic) in to your TOC.

You could use Find/Replace with regular expressions to do this. Will have to do it in a couple of steps, but it will automate the whole thing for you.
Are your hyperlinks somehow uniform or sharing some similar kind of code? For example <a href="../../Help/Home.htm">Welcome</a>

Re: What's the shortcut key to start a recording?
Hmmm,
I'm not too sure - I haven't seen it do that before. You could try a reinstall but I doubt that will fix it.
I'd report it as an issue, looks like you're using windows 7, that could also be an issue. I'm on XP so that might have something to do with it.

That is where captivate was a little better I seem to remember. You could make exe files and I'm pretty sure that 'live recording' could be put in to flash videos too.

I'm not sure of a shortcut button, but End certainly doesn't work for me and from the sound of it not you either. I'd report that as a bug.
As for the red button not being viewable, how is that happening? When I start a new recording it remebers my last recording size, but I usually use the Snap to ...

Re: What's the shortcut key to start a recording?
In my experience, End will only stop recording. When you start recording it is fine to use the mouse as Mimic will give a 3-2-1 countdown before it starts recording so you can position it where you want. Using End to finish it means you dont have a mouse trail moving off when you stop the recording.

If you have a live chat tool of your own, then I'm sure you could just add the link to one of your topics, set it to open in a new pop up chat window like they all seem to do these days and let it do its live chat thing.

See the screenshot. But basically.
1. Put the code in the Find what field.
2. Leave Replace with blank so it effectively deletes the code (replaces it with no text)
3. Set your Find in option. Maybe a topic by topic, or topics in same folder, or whole project.

Re: Easy way to remove span class?
Using regular expressions for this is pretty straight forward. In fact you only need to use one regular expression and just a normal find/replace.
First find the </span> tag, as it's easier to find this while the span="Review" code is still in there - this would require a regular expression ...

Re: need to edit body proxy
I'd say open your stylesheet in text view and see if the JS is being called from the body tag in there?
Or look through the MadCap | BodyProxy style in the editor and look for anything that stands out compared to a default bodyproxy from a new project.
