Do you mean the 'medium' ? I only have one stylesheet and one medium. Default. I would have expected changes made here should be reflected in my Print output....

Top and Bottom spacing for images in both Print and WebHelp
Hi all,
In my project all images have styles assigned, in that style I set the margin-top and bottom to 10px. Gives a nice spacing between any text before and after without using hard-returns to force it. For webhelp output this works fine.
However, when I publish to Word, no spacing is retained, I ...

Re: Flare v. Robo Features
Bit tricky as RH just upgraded to v9 and all my gripes are regarding RH8. So many things just seemed un-finished and like they could have gone a few extra steps to make things better.
But from v8 that I was using before moving to Flare...
RH could only add a snippet as a block of text. It could ...

Vertical text in tables, possible?
Hi all,
I have a couple tables in my project that are quite wide. A solution to this in Word was having the column headings as vertical text.
Is there any to acheive the same thing in Flare?
Thanks,
Nick

Re: Flare using HUGE amounts of RAM
Well this is slowly getting worse and worse......2 hours of work this morning in Flare. A large project, but only about 10 topics or items opened at once. My main TOC always open so I can get my files quickly and in the order I need.
So far, its using 1.2GB of RAM and basically crippling my whole ...

Thanks for the info.
Cross-references in the Word output would use a field for the page number; so you'd need to update fields to reflect any changes.
This is what I was hoping was NOT the case. Some of these docs are a few hundred pages long. Sifting through and updating references will be ...

single source a TOC?
Hi all,
Quick question.
Can you single source a TOC?
I have 12 'books' that are created for print output. These 12 books make up the Webhelp that we also create.
I'd like to be able to use these 12 TOCs to make up the main TOC. Makes it much easier to maintain the labels, levels and everything ...

I have some long FAQ titles in my TOC, and they are causing horizontal scrolling in the TOC pane. I can't find a CSS way to specify a max width for that pane. Is there another way to do this?
thanks!

Did you manage to get this working? Would love a solution to this.

Yeah I saw that thread before I imported my docs, which is why I decided to do them all at once. I dont need to maintain a connection back to Word, and it seemed the better option to have the import template to keep things consistant.

Surely if I moved the files outside of Flare then all links within it will break as they wont be updated. TOC links, hyperlinks etc?
I dont have my project sitting on a network drive, everything is local.

Re: Moving files in Content Explorer. Is there a faster way?
I was hoping to use something like conditionals so that I could easily see which of the 12 books a particular topics is part of. I was hoping that setting a conditional tag in the TOC might show up in the context explorer. the TOC seems to be the only way I can tie these topics back to where they ...

Re: Moving files in Content Explorer. Is there a faster way?
I was already using that, problem is there are 1,200 topics, and they are shown in alphabetical order. Needless to say, using the CTRL method just means I'm scrolling from one end to the other looking for the files that I need, and the only way to identify them is to check it against the TOC. Its ...

Good to know.
I never use special characters in file names. Things like this always happen, even leave out spaces and capital letters these days.
Error messages always end up being written by developers and not normal people.....thems the breaks huh.
Least you got a solution.

Off the top of my head....
Get your photo, write the text (if any is required) over the photo in a image editor, like photoshop.
Now you have an image with text over the top, you cant move the text, but with this you can put image-maps over the top.

Thanks for that.
I messed around with that width setting, 95% seems to give me the best results and stick within my margins nicely.
