Even hiding them doesnt let me get rid of most of the weird span styles, they dont show up in that Options screen in the stylesheet window.
and they aren't in the stylesheet when viewed in the text editor. They show up in the Flare stylesheet, but I can't get rid of them.
what are those styles ...

Removing styles from the Styles window
Is it possible to take styles out of the Styles window?
I only want to display my styles, ie. not inherited styles, I cant delete them, which doesnt really bother me yet, but I just dont want them displayed in my Styles window as they just clutter the screen far too much.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Nick

Re: miniTOC proxy formatting
I know you can use positioning to fix it to the bottom of the page, but it would be fixed and not scroll with the topic; i.e. it'd appear over the topic text.
what properties of the proxy would be changed for this? would love something to fix it to the bottom, but all Position properties that I ...

Renaming styles, does it work?
Hi all,
I have a few styles that I would like to rename. I rename the style in the Stylesheet, but when I do this, the style is no longer applied in the topics? This is mainly on my list styles, though I dont see why it would make a difference.

Search or find/Replace for styles?
Hi all,
Is there anyway to find a style, or find where a style is used in a project?
I'm just looking over my style sheet, and trying to tidy things up. I can hide the inherited styles, but there are a few left over which I'm guessing means that they are being used somewhere in the topic and I ...

Thanks for that.
A few more things - I can't find how to set a mouse-over colour, and a post-click colour for the links? All that changes so far is the standard colour. I found a few hover style controls, but nothing that affected the miniTOC.

Search results and using tabs instead of Acordion
Hi all,
Just wondering if theres anyway to change the skin setup so it uses a tabbed approach, rather than the default Acordion?
As well, search results display a rating, and the title of the topic, is there anyway to display part of the text from that topic in the results aswell?
Thanks.
Nick

Re: Custom image for tip/note/warning styles
Just a heads up on this,
My main issue was with the image not being imported, and as such not displaying in WebHelp output.
I have found a solution, sort of.
Because the style was imported as a paragraph style from word, and not a list style, the bullet image wasnt displaying. I was able to edit ...

List style from import vs list style that import has created
Hi all,
This is a bit of a weird one. I have imported text from a word doc. In that, there are numberous list styles, OL and UL lists.
Now, if I look at the content of a topic that I have imported, it appears as expected, I may change the indents a bit etc to get things lining up nicely.

Hi all,
I'm wondering if its possible to set a custom image for a paragraph style, or if this only works for UL styles?

Yes I have the MadPak suite trial installed with Capture.
So how exactly can I do this in Capture? Haven't been able to find this info.
Thanks,

Hi,

Out of curosity, what are your styles set as in Word? Actual list styles? or Paragraph styles with numbering applied? I'm curious as to how Flare differentiates between the 2, and which is reccomended for best results.

Yeah I do have the TOC, but I would hope this would be displayed on the left, so at least I can have that open and work on content rather than opening in the topic pane. I dont know, I was using RoboHelp earlier, and I didnt like it at all, but some of those things I got used to were quite valuable ...
