You could zip the project and send it to MadCap with an error report and let them figure it out - but where is the fun in that!
Or you could try and find the error yourself.
First I'd be deleting the Analyzer file. Restarting Analyzer and looking for anything that is dead).
Then I'd split the build ...

Does this help?

Re: Creating Forms - recommendation?
I'd look more at the acrobat forums or google for the answer to that. Sounds like handling the form is fine, but what you want to do is more outside of webhelp and Flare in general but no doubt it is a valid scenario.
good luck.

Re: Custom dropdown in webhelp toolbar
I would say yes, mine has worked though this menu uses JS too, so it's not a pure CSS solution. Add it within a master page, perhaps a test one, and see if you can get it functioning. I put the specific CSS I needed for my script in the master page rather than in my stylesheet at first - always a ...

Re: Is anyone reading the help?
It is probably one of the hardest things and most defeating as well. Coming to the realisation that a lot of the content you/I/we (?) write, especially as a help system gets larger and larger probably goes unread, or is at least hardly read compared to how much effort is put in to writing it.

Re: Create a tip or note box with an image
I use a table for mine. 1 cell with the image, cell to the right with the text and a formatted <p> tag. Although it is not a single style, it uses <p> styles and table styles (td/tr/table) so I can update it etc just as easy as anything else. Then keeping it close by in a 'useful stuff' topic where ...

Check the <html> and <body> tags in your stylesheet. Also look at your masterpage/pagelayouts and see where the body block is aligned.

Custom dropdown in webhelp toolbar
Hi all,
I have a custom button in the webhelp toolbar, but I'd like to turn it in to a menu dropdown instead that has a couple of links. Basically, this is a method of allowing users to switch to different help versions. At the moment the button just launches a separate window with 3 buttons within ...

Re: Creating Forms - recommendation?
What do you want to do with the form when it is completed? Print, email?
You can create forms in html, pretty straight forward but in Flare you'd need to code it manually, I dont think it has any form input options.
Or you could create a PDF form and embed that in your page.

Unselect all tghe accordion items in the General section of the skin and give that a go. The Hide navigation should work, but users can still bring it back.

Re: Creating Columns
No trouble at all,
Basically, Flare will use the default that you set in the target unless one is specified in the TOC entry. So when you select it in the target, I'd use whatever will be the most common in the pages, probably a single page layout. Then for each 3 column topic, set that in the TOC ...

Re: Swap Style Tag From H2 to P
To find that </h2> tag the following should work.
Find: (?<=<p class="dummy">.+)</h2>
Replace: </p>
Just make sure you back your project up first incase it all goes wrong. Start the find/replace and check the first few topics to make sure its working as expected, then just do replace all.

What browser are you looking at it with?
In IE8 - which doesnt totally support HTML5, it is at the top as you describe - but in Firefox the text is vertically centred.

PageLayouts. Check the online help in Flare. You just set the 'body' block to be a specific number of columns.

No problem, I just resized the image and added transparent space at the top of the image. Works well enough.
Thanks,

Vertically align drop-down hotspot icon with heading text
Hi all,
I'm setting up a new style sheet for a new product of ours and want to align the icon used for drop-down hotspots to be in line with the heading text. Haven't managed to do it with any of my style settings yet. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Nick.

Re: Skin files included in output even with conditions applied
Turns out - and I didn't know this - that conditions do not work Project Explorer (only for global project linking). Only way to achieve this is 'Generate All Skins' as mentioned above. A feature request has been submitted.
Thanks,

Yep, otherwise a bunch of other content would be spat out when I run my builds...guess I'll do this in a sample and then send to madcap if it still happens...
*EDIT*
Occurs in sample projects also....reported to madcap.

Re: Move the WebHelp logo from the right corner to the Left?
Thanks, yeah that's pretty much the same. I do like that as a fix - the only thing is if you move the slider bar between the acordian and content pane the top toolbar doesnt resize with it - if you use acrodian titles it does, but setting an image doesnt seem to allow anything like it. Bit of a ...
