Cross-reference confusion
I'm baffled by something with cross-references (I'm using them for the first time) . . . I have a document with 27 topics in it, of which 25 of the topic start with a heading 2. In topic 16, I did an Insert > Cross-Reference , then in the dialog box I selected Link to > Topic in Project , selected ...

Cross-reference a list item number?
I'm trying to use Flare's cross-reference feature for the first time, and what I'd really like to do is use cross-references to define a number range using ordered list item numbers. For example, I'd like to have have a step in my procedure that says "Repeat steps 4-7." This would eliminate ...

Graphics in "print" doc insert much smaller than expected
Flare newbie here, struggling to understand how the "print" graphics work. I am working on creating a PDF file--users can print it if they want to, but we plan to deliver the file to users as an electronic document.

Re: Error message when trying to delete a style
Your shot in the dark worked . . . apparently those styles were defined when (default) was the selected medium, and I thought I'd been working exclusively in the Print medium.
Thank you!

Error message when trying to delete a style
Whenever I try to delete a couple of styles in my BookStyles.css, I get the error:
The style table.NotInLists cannot be removed since it is inherited and not defined in this stylesheet
I am baffled by this, as I created the NotInLists class in the BookStyles.css file, not in another style sheet ...

Error message when I try to access Help > Search
Whenever I look for something in the Flare online help, my favorite tool is Help > Search . This morning, when I select the option, I get an error dialog boxthat says:

Re: Why is top-aligned table text middle-aligning?
Oh, thank you! The <td> had a cell vertical-align of inherit . . . once I changed that to top, everything worked. I do have the case you described--a short line in one cell, and a bunch of text in the cell to the right, so I really did need top in this case.
Thanks again!

Why is top-aligned table text middle-aligning?
I'm a Flare newbie, so please don't throw tomatoes at me for this question, but . . .
I have created three table classes, and in the Properties dialog box for each of the classes, I set Alignment to Top . For some reason all the text in the table is being middle-aligned, and I can't find a ...
