Re: question on various outputs

Is there a listing of what is supported in what type of output in Flare? Meaning a table that shows what functionality is available for a particular type of output?

I'm trying to see what the difference is between publishing to a mobile output and the (apparently new) Web HTML5 output which is also ...

master pages not supported in mobile output?

Hi all,

I've got a master page that i apply to all my topics which contains the following at the bottom of my web version of help (in drop-downs):

company
product version
contact us and social media links
support links

This works well enough in the web version of my output, but when I publish to ...

More "skins"?

Are there more skins for Mobile Help available anywhere? What I'd like to do is actually put something behind the logo so if they tap the logo they can get information about the company.

Why is it that I can't mirror some functionality like what's shown on the desktop version of help on the mobile ...

Renaming a project?

How do I rename a project that I've already been working on at the moment?

For example, I started off naming my project Test1

Now, i realize, that I did that because I was using the trial version and now am using the licensed version and need to rename the Test1 project to something more ...

Re: Multiple skins for different books in same project?

So, and please, indulge my ignorance, IF I set the skin at the TOC level for my book:

Product Project
Book 1
Book 2

If I set, for example,

Book 1 associated with Skin 1
Book 2 associated with Skin 2

ALL of the topics will be displayed in the appropriate skin in that TOC?

No, it doesn't work ...

Re: Multiple skins for different books in same project?

Yeah, I'm using HTML5. I'll take a look again at targets and see what I'm not seeing then.

Maybe I"m not understanding what you're saying, and I'll ask for clarification...

I'm in Targets, I see the following:

Skin > Multiple Targets ((default) Skin A and Skin B ) in the drop-down. Where do I ...

Multiple skins for different books in same project?

Hi,

So, I've got 2 products' help in the same main project:

Product A -- Skin A
Product B -- Skin B

How do I indicate that I want to publish the project as a whole and assign the skin by Product to the appropriate skin associated with it? When I go to targets I can only pick a single skin for the ...

arrrgh, where are bullets?

I'll say up front, I'm lost. I'm trying very hard to use the latest version of the trail of 10.1 and it's extremely frustrating as well as the UI being extremely confusing. I don't remember it being this complicated in previous versions.

I don't understand what happened to a simple task of making a ...

Call from an application to Webhelp to show "clean" URLs?

Hi all,

I haven't implemented Webhelp in a few years and what used to be was that I'd deliver the finished WebHelp directory and the application would make a straight call to (for example):

default.htm#topic1.htm

This was never an issue before. However, I have a requirement that the company doesn ...

Thank you for the lead, I was going nuts trying to figure out where this was. However, even after setting this (and it was already set to be white background. I am still not seeing the custom icons in the TOC highlighted. The out-of-the-box ones are highlighted when selected, the custom one ...

Webhelp 2.0 skins, any way to use different icons for TOC?

I've got a requirement to use custom icons for the TOC items.

I don't need a single icon for all the book level and a single icon for the topic level. I need to mimic the icons used in the corresponding application that allows me to use for example:

Book 1 = topic for nav level 1 in application ...

What does "cannot access a disposed object" mean?

Help. i swear, this IDE is amazingly fragile. It breaks every 15 minutes or so.

I finally got my nonscrolling region to work, apparently, you have to do it in the order in which it's written, OR it has to do with you have to leave the minitoc proxy in the master page or something because without my ...

Re: Adding a Non-scrolling frame to WebHelp output?

Why is it that Flare doesn't have a real editor for HTML? or for that matter how come it hides the actual classes behind <p+> and other generic tags that don't make it easy to get to the underlying code? This is a lot like the Microsoft-specific XML language we used to see.

If you want to see the ...
