Re: How to lose unused white space inside div?
I was convinced merely floating right would obscure my floating side menu, so I'd been trying to stay close to the absolute positioning used in pdf, but you were right. Thanks for your help.

How to lose unused white space inside div?
I am tying myself in knots trying to recreate something in Flare html5 help that was never intended for it. :roll:
Here's hoping someone can suggest a way to untangled this:
In two pictures.
I am getting this -
div text and image.png

Not sure what type of help you are creating - I think they are all a bit different

Re: Window caption in html5 Top Nav
Ah..ha!
Nothing like posting to request help, to cause a break through....
I found that my master pages included
<script>
document.title = "xxxxxxxx online help - " + document.title;
</script>
and the xxxxxxxx needed changing!
Clearly too clever for my own good when I set up the last project ...

I know this can be changed, because I did it in a previous version of html5 Top Nav help....

Have you tried ticking 'Collapse top margin at top of page/column' under the Advanced tab for your pdf target?

Re: Page Layout: Repeat Image on Left page, Long Table on Ri
This is something at the edge of Flare's capability. (There are a few things I would choose InDesign for... despite 8 years using Flare as my main, and sometimes only, tool.)

Re: Conditions quandry
So you have lots of topics which are conditioned 'Include in both A and B' that live in project A, which you pull across into project B.
They can happily contain some items conditioned 'Not in B'.
Then as long as both project A and project B have the same set of condition tags (pull them across into ...

Re: Bottom border disappeared in header
I have found a few quirks like this with page layouts.
Copying and pasting any footer/header content from one page layout to another, whitespace and formatting, like your center instruction, regularly goes missing - I assume this is just a bug.

Re: List numbers in a PDF output
I've been noticing something related, where my <li> list item contains a couple of paragraphs and a div.
This can make the list item number appear beside the last item in the set, rather than the first.
To correct this confusion I put everything in the list item inside one div, so the structure ...

Re: PDF output: A few nits
The way to go with your header is using a table.
Here is an example from one of my footers.
footer%20example.png
Use f2 to see your header frame contents box
You can then use the Table tab from the application as normal, and pick Insert Table, choosing 1 row x 2 cols. Set the table width to 100 ...

I am interested in the answer so I did a bit of digging -it didn't answer the question properly but this is what I learned, based on 1 sample project:

Here are a few pointers:
You insert these sort of topic controls here

and you will be led to a menu that lets you select/deselect files from your project contents.
You should be able to see an existing control as long as you are in web layout and default medium ...

Re: Glossary Proxy: Exclude entries based on conditions/targ
I would suggest that the best way to do this might be to have Glossary A specific to Target A and Glossary B specific to Target B, where perhaps Target C uses Glossaries A, B and C (You select in the target, under the glossary tab, which glossary or glossaries to use).

Re: PDF graphics display poorly; fine in preview
I think you need to update to the latest version of Flare 2018. When 2018 first came out there was a glitch with the size of capture call out text for pdf. It was resolved in one of the patches since - though I can't remember which just now. I am on 14.0.6738.27462 and no longer have the issue.

I found this very old thread - has anyone since 2009 found a way to include a tooltip on hover over a dropdown hotspot. (It would be so much neater than writing extra to introduce the dropdowns.)

How about this -
run a build of that target then use your build log file, every "Image..." line identifies an image used in the build
