Re: Searching for Conditional Tags in a Project

Always create a back up of your project prior to doing any kind of global find and replace.

This is easily done using the Project ribbon > Zip Project.
This will create a zipped copy of your project that can be put in a safe place just in case something goes wrong with the find and replace.

Re: scrunched UI

This is generally caused by resolution being too high or low.

Without knowing what kind of system is being used, it's really hard to nail down the specific cause.

Often times with the newer super high resolution laptops, this can happen. Adjusting the resolution down should fix it.

Re: Issue with copying hyperlinks

Then you have the link selected, you should see a [a] block bar at the top of the editor
Right click on that block and choose Copy
Then paste the link where it needs to go

This selects all the <a> code to the clipboard vs just the highlighted text.

Re: Skinless output-Alias problems

If you have an alias file in your project set up to use CSH calls - it will be used in all builds that are not Print. When you check that option to to exclude files, obviously all files that are not linked to the TOC items are excluded from the build and will not be in the output. The compiler is gi...

BedfordWriter, You can create a topic and insert an Index Proxy in it and it will populate with your entire index. This can be added to the TOC for easy access by users. Just be sure in the project CSS that you edit the MadCap|indexProxy style mc-output-support to equal ALL so it will work in web ou...

Hello Gary,
In your project stylesheet for DIV set the Overflow property to Auto.
That should set the horizontal scroll bars to work when large images are used in topics.

Hello Peter,
Capture still requires a key (free or not). Without the key, it would be running in Trial mode and that is when the watermark happens.
Capture is currently under development.

Re: What is this "Xliff Alternate" TM that keeps appearing?

This happens after updating a project. If any of the segments were already translated and those segments were updated, you will see this in the TM Suggestions pane.
The target translations are kept even after updating a project. These translations are then used as suggestions.

The Subtag states the locale of the language (Where it's spoken). In this case, you would choose Japanese instead of Japanese(Japan). Japanese(Japan) tells the browsers the language is local to Japan. Here is some additional information on subtags for language codes: http://www.w3.org/International/...

Hello Leon,
This appears isolated to Web based outputs if the Variable File names contain an underscore or hyphen. A bug has been filed.
The work-around would be to rename the variable file removing these characters. In Flare 10, the links in the topics will update to the renamed variable file.
