Re: Indexed by Google
Hello there, What you need is a robots.txt file on your site. It's explained in the Flare Help: https://help.madcapsoftware.com/flare2020/Content/Flare/Search/Optimizing-Search/Optimizing-Site.htm?Highlight=robots.txt#IncludingaRobotstxtFile . Hopefully this will solve your problem for you. Regards,...

Re: Is there a way to auto delete old builds in Central?
Sadly, I don't believe there is. It would be useful, wouldn't it? Have you put in a feature request?
Cheers,

Re: Building on Central when project is linked to another
Hi Riccardo,
I don't have experience of linked translated projects or an answer to why it doesn't work when building on Central, but I do have a question. If you can build successfully in Flare, why not do that--i.e. build locally--and then publish from Flare to Central?
Regards,
Rae

We can't. But I'd heartily second a request to be able to do so!

Mystery User Status
I've a small mystery I'm curious about. In my Users page, there's a Status filter to apply to the displayed list: Paused. There's no information as to what it means or does and I have no Paused users. (No search of the Central Help gets me any closer to understanding. Searching "user status&quo...

Re: Invites to Access Private Sites Go to Spam
Replying to myself here, but I ought to add that the whole sign up process to get Viewer users onto private sites is somewhat fraught. - Invitations have sometimes ended up in SPAM. Although, in fairness, some users who just could not register under my previous login solution using their corporate e...

Invites to Access Private Sites Go to Spam
I'm setting up private sites and starting to add users (so far just for testing). The invitation email sent from Central has so far (small sample of three!) always ended up in the Spam folder. Has anyone had a similar experience? I'm going to feed this back to MadCap, but more data would be useful. ...

Re: Ok to apply condition to snippet, then again inside a to
Maybe you could create subfolders in the snippets folder for the different condition names and place the snippets in these?kearnine wrote:We have been applying the conditions to the snippet file purely because the colors help us identify them more easily in the Content Explorer.

Re: Images not displaying in editor
Trialing the October 2019 release of Central, I've had this happen some of the time (different SMEs reviewing, different experiences). Can't figure out why some rather than others, myself. Haven't got a clear answer from MadCap yet, only a general comment (covering more than this) about "browse...

Analytics by project only?
Replying to my own post. Having tried things out, I've seen how to set a different key per target in my project (the switching between Flare and Central is somewhat confusing...). So the question is moot :) I'm just trialing Central and one of the appealing new features is Analytics. However, I won...
