Re: Table of contents editing (master.fltoc)
It's not obvious, but you can select multiple TOC entries from the Tree view and assign properties to them. The trick is to use the CTRL key and not the SHIFT key. Shift selects all topics inside books also. Open the Tree view of the TOC. Click on the first chapter break you want. Holding down the C...

Re: Security vulnerability over allowing StartTopic to load exte
Hello spackiaraj and welcome to the forums. You can alter the output files without any fear of EULA violations if needed. It is true you can load external content into the topic pane by altering the URL. We do not prevent this because users link to outside content in their TOC, links in content, etc...

Re: Subversion 1.8 Released June 12
We found the Server can be upgraded to 1.8 and will still support the client 1.7 dlls. Problems arise if the client uses anything that will upgrade the .SVN folder to 1.8. For instance: Tortoise 1.8 (Client) will ask the user to upgrade the .svn folder to 1.8. If this happens, Flare will no longer r...

Re: Can't run Equation Editor after v9.1 upgrade
Update 45 has been known to cause the Equation Editor to stop working. We are looking into a solution. Using Java7 Update21 should allow you to use the Equation editor without issue. Here is a link to download and install that version of Java. http://ts.madcapsoftware.com/Downloads/JRE/jre-7u21-wind...

Re: IE 11 does not appear to display HTML5 output?
two things will happen for IE11 support.
Mark of the web becomes:
<!-- saved from url=(0016)http://localhost -->
and
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge" />
Both of these need to be done in the output for IE11 to work properly.

Re: IE 11 does not appear to display HTML5 output?
Maybe I'm missing something.
I build an HTML5 target and open the output folder.
When I view each of the htm files in a text editor, I see <!DOCTYPE html> on the top of each page.

Yes we are working on an update to Flare 9 which should be ready to release approximately the same time IE 11 is released to the public. Ruth, From msdn, you might want to use this code: <meta http-equiv="x-ua-compatible" content="IE=edge" > http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/librar...

Did you click in the Content window in the CHM prior to trying to zoom?
I just tested this after giving focus to the topic, I was able to zoom in and out using the wheel on the mouse.

Re: Madbuild -log true oddness
The Log file is based on the instance of MadBuild - not per target. If you build all the targets in the project, you will only get a single log file. If you want a log per target, create a batch file to build each target and it will create a log for each target. Example batch file: cd\Program Files ...

The Proxy in the style sheet controls the list block or container (things like margin etc). If you look at the class assigned to the list items in the output, you can see that an a.Class is used. Create this class in your projects stylesheet to style the individual lines of the list. Here is an exam...

You should not be getting duplicate images in the output. If you have duplicate images in the project and the topics are pointing to the diffe...

Stop words are derived from a dll so its not possible to see them or edit them. There is a work around you can do forcing Flare to use your own stop words if you would like. This may or may not work in this situation.
Create a new target and choose XHTML Book which is basically a Print based output.
Each Chapter of the TOC becomes an individual HTM page.
Build it and open the output folder.

Re: Linked target does not exist or could not be loaded.
Whats in the TOC for each WebHelp project shouldn't matter.
In each Target (each Project) on the General tab - you have to give the output filename a unique name. By default, it will be "Default". Fill in this option for each and they should all build from the Parent project.
