Re: Margin Note makes build crash
Hi Phill, Let me try to summarize: 1. In a sample project delivered by MadCap you are able to add a margin-note to some paragraph in a Word document that also comes from MadCap. You can compile a NetHelp from this project, and in the result you see the popup that's been generated by D2H. 2. Yet, whe...

Re: Margin Note makes build crash
Hi Phill, let us try to find out the cause(s) of your issue in common. I still hope to get it fixed without looking into your project(s). Since I could not replicate the issue in my environment, I have more questions... 1. Which is the template's name you are working with in your source document? 2....

Hi,
Are you sure that those topics aren't in more than one module?
Kind regards,

Re: Margin Note makes build crash
Hi Phill, So, I assume you have created the document with an older D2H version, probably older than version 2014 x. I suggest to control the template that is assigned to your document, and compare it with the template that is attached to the document that does not cause errors in the same project. I...

Re: Converting XML to DOCX / Templates
Hi, 2014V2 is the last D2H version which allows you to edit xml files with the integrated editor. Starting with Version 3 MadCap has dropped support for xml files in D2H. Let us know, please, why you want to convert xml files into word documents. You might loose some gimmicks, i.e. Widgets. Unfortun...

Re: Margin Note makes build crash
Hi, I tested Margin Notes with D2H V3 and could not find any issues. In order to find out what causes the issue in your environment I suggest: 1. Try it again in one of D2H's sample projects, in you document folder, not the installation folder of D2H. I assume that this works as expected. 2. Next st...

Re: Creating One Glossary with Two Definitions
Hi, From what I have seen in Flare's ui, it seems necessary to create a topic for this glossary item. If that is done, you may use conditions to both definitions and use the same conditions for your targets, depending upon their audiences. The other solution is to create a second glossary and link d...

Re: Word 2007 Equations in NetHelp Output?
Hi, actually, I am not aware of any problems with equations in NetHelp. They used to be stored and inserted as graphics during NetHelp compilation, with former D2H versions as well as with V3. I created a Word document with Word 2007, imported it into a D2H project and the NetHelp is ok. Actually, I...

Hi, to help you with the theme roller: 1. choose your own theme, means one whic can be modified 2. choose the section where you want to remove buttons, either by clicking in the appropiate area or by selecting it from the dropdown list 3. click the edit button and remove all buttons you do not want....

Re: Theme Editing
Regarding to your questions... Removing of buttons you do not want is done in Theme Designer. You may watch how to do this is a short Flash video http://www.microtaurus.de/Demos/themedesignerteil1.html. It was created with an older D2H version, the functions are still the same for NetHelp 2.0 themes...

Re: Big document takes 7 hours to create the output???
Hi, I agree with SteveS: pictures might cause delays. Additional question: Do you have a great number of links in your document? I observed that they could be responsible when D2H hangs while processing html files. Watching the status bar at the bottom of D2H window you may see which html file D2H i...

Re: Upgrade to D2H 3
Hi Sjouke, I cannot replicate your issue. Still, I also observed some odd behaviour with new template, means those which names begin with D2H, which I cannot replicate either. Can you tell me, please, which template you modified, what you changed in that template and where you did not get the change...

Re: Big document takes 7 hours to create the output???
Hi, maybe it helps if you choose Internet Explorer (9 or newer) as default browser, before you start compilation. Yet, I can only guess, since I do not have Chrome browser on my machines. Actually, I cannot believe that C1H_html is responsible for the 12 hours compile time. Kind Regards, Sabine Kamp...

Re: NetHelp settings.json and SharePoint
Hi,
I can only guess that setting.json file does not need to be published to SharePoint. Perhaps anybody who is able to use D2H's functionality "Publish to SharePoint" can help.
Kind Regards,
Sabine Kamprowski

Re: Standard templates and intentionally blank pages
Hello, these empty pages are generated by Word. You may recognize their location by watching the page number at the end of their preceding chapter: if the last preceding page number is odd and empty page will be inserted. IF you have a way to recognize them in Word by some algorithm you may have a c...

Re: Auto Link Glossary Terms
Hi Craig,
you are right: D2H automatically links glossary entries only at the first occurence in every topic. Still, you may add more links by D2Hs link function using link type = Glossary term

Re: Upgrade to D2H 3
Hi Sjouke, Meanwhile, I found a modular NetHelp help project that I upgraded to D2H V3, first upgraded the modules, then the hub project. The result looks ok, has the same file structure as non-upgraded project, at first glance. Hi Petr, I modified an xml file in a D2H V3 project with a text editor,...

Re: Upgrade to D2H 3
Hello Sjouke, welcome to the new Doc-To-Help Forum, it's nice to meet you again! I'm not aware of any problems, IF you've edited your sources with a Word version 2007 or newer. Templates created with 2014 V2 will continue to work, still I recommend to move to the new D2H-templates: This is the most ...

Re: !Lingo doesn't load "existing" xml files
Hi,
actually, I miss xml files generated by D2H's export function in my translation project. Filter drop down list in Lingo does not show xml, only Translation candidates and Capture images.
Any advice will be appreciated.
