Auto-end on left page not working (as I expect)

Post by Sean »

I need some help with making page count even.

I want the last item in my User Guide toc to be even-numbered. Currently, it begins on page 131 and ends on page 135.

So, in the TOC, I right-clicked the item, and then chose Properties > Printed Output. I set a brake type (I tried both Chapter and then Layout) chose a page type of Continue L/R, set numbering to increment, and then set Auto-end on 'left; page: to "Enabled."

I saved all and rebuilt the PDF. It item still ends on page 135.

What might I be missing?

Cheers,

Sean

P.S. In the label, Auto-end on 'left page, why is 'left' in quotes (British)? Is it ironic or something? Is that what I am missing, it doesn't really affect the true left page?

I'm a new user, so take it for what it's worth. Have you tried starting the sequence with a right page instead of continuous L/R?

Have you defined an "Empty" page in the page layout you're using?
