What is the correct way of numbering equations in MadCap Flare.

I believe that I once saw some advanced css where it actually could add a table or cells based on the input?
Maybe it could generate two columns, like this:

If you don't get a response from forum members, if you have a support package you could contact Tech Support and ask them for help. This is a peer support forum so MadCap people probably won't see your plea.
