Equations missing in PDF output

I am facing an issue with my MadCap Flare. There are equations in the Flare source files, which do not appear in the PDF output.

When I generate a PDF output, all the equations in all the topics are displayed as blank spaces.

This issue is only with the PDF output. The HTML output shows the equations correctly.

Please help.

Check and perhaps update the java installation. Flare uses Java to generate the equations for the PDFs. This fixed it for us when we had this problem some months ago.

Thanks for your reply. The issue was partly solved by updating the Ghostscript tool from v9.2 to v9.23. By partly I mean that the equations are now displaying in the PDF output but there are a few special characters like Omega symbol, Micro symbol, and big brackets, which are displayed as square boxes.

Any suggestions as to why this is happening and how to resolve it?
