Appearance of printed output

Hi

First time post, so if this has been asked before apologies.

I have a specific layout design I need to use for pdf output. This includes images, different colour shading, overlapping shapes etc. however, looking through the documentation I cannot see where I can find out how to do this. I thought it would be under "Skins" but that appears to be for HTML5 output, not pdf output.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated?

Skins are for online output.
