Footnotes inside snippets

My team has a Supported Configurations matrix, with a lot of tables containing footnotes. We made snippets out of a bunch for reuse between different products.

Our SC matrix is one big topic containing all of the individual snippets.

But we're feeling frustrated because we cannot get Flare to place the footnote body inside the snippet on PDF output. We wanted the footnote text to be close in relation to the table where it is referenced, not far away at the end of the document. Instead, Flare seems to want to glom all of the footnotes together at the end of the topic/chapter.

Maybe there is a footnote style involved that needs to be fiddled with? We'll go back over the MadCap help to see if we've missed some critical thing.

So funny/strange that footnote position: page is the most granular Flare allows. I would have thought there would be something a little more granular for use with tables.
