Hi,
All my figures in my project have an image with an autonumbered figure text below fx Figure 2-18.
I am using a snippet to easily create my figures https://www.madcapsoftware.com/blog/tip ... aptions-2/
I have bookmarked the figure text.
I cross-reference the bookmarks from tthe topic text fx (see Figure 2-18).
My problem in the HTML5 web layout is the cross-reference presents the figure text at the top of the screen and the image therefore is not to be seen, since it is above.
The viewer therefore has to scroll to see the image.
How can I change my setup, so that the cross reference presents the entire figure (image and text) to be seen ?!
Best,
Claus

Would it be silly to suggest putting your figure text above the image instead of below it?

Hi ChoccieMuffin,
I actually thought of this myself and tried to implement it.
It just does not look right !!
However could end up being the solution ?!
Thanx anyway,
Claus

For content that is going to be output as HTML web pages, I put figure titles above the images. For content that will be both online and in print (say, as PDFs), I *still* put them above, and I've convinced my clients to accept this adaptation. It serves single-sourcing well, and it also is appropriate in particular to the online medium (by which I don't mean a CSS medium, but rather medium as a form of communication).
