Colors Wrong

Post by Shredder »

I have numbered parts of a machine in overview pictures. The numbers are explained in a legend table. The background of the numbers in the picture and the column in the legend table is identical (blue).

However, in the PDF build, the blue is different. The blue in the picture numbering is okay, but the blue in the table column is different.

Does anyone have a clue about what is going on?

Check the stylesheet medium that is used for the PDF to be sure that you're using the right blue there. I wouldn't be surprised if you're viewing things in the XML Editor using the online medium but the PDF medium isn't the same.

Something I've found really useful to prevent that kind of discrepancy is to use CSS variables to apply things like colour.

The colour is #0000FF for both.

I've found similar issues with colour definitions and for me it was due to differences in the way the colour was rendered in my graphics program on my images and conversions to RGB/CMYK. Particularly when I was working with illustrations and rendering to a PNG for inclusion in Flare. I had to be very careful there wasn't some colour space conversion going on that I wasn't aware of.

Also, make sure the Convert RGB Colors to CMYK option isn't selected in your Flare Target (PDF Options)
