Publish Primary PDF-Skipped No destination selected [FIXED]

Post by M33R4 »

My project has 2 targets:
  • HTML5
    PDF
I have set 2 targets:
HTML (Primary)
PDF

I have set 2 Destinations:
Desktop > Flare_Online_Published
Desktop > Flare _PDF_Published

Problem:
  • I published the HTML5 and that was successful.
I published the PDF but getting the error message in the Builds window: Publish skipped - No destination selected.

The error means you haven't selected a destination in the target's Publishing tab.

My first guess is that there's something dodgy about your PDF publish destination. To test it, see if you can publish your PDF output to the destination that works, or try to publish your HTML output to the destination that doesn't work. That'll confirm things. That will tell you whether the problem is with the PDF or with the destination.
If it turns out that the destination is the problem, you'd probably be better off creating a new destination file rather than trying to mess around with the broken one.
If it's the PDF, you'll at least know what you need to look at more closely.

Good luck!

Hi ChoccieMuffin.

I tried your suggestion initially and it didn't work.

You've made me think of another question: Can 2 different targets (HTML5 and PDF) both be published to the same destination/folder :?:

Answering my own question after trying it - Yes 2 different targets can be published to the same destination folder.
