Single source-PDF output images not fitting page[FIXED]

Post by M33R4 »

My project is single source with 2 outputs:
  • HTML5
    PDF

I use 1 stylesheet for both.

Images in my topics are so large that I have programmed them, via the Stylesheet, to display as thumbnails for my HTML5 output.

In order for those thumbnails to print full size in my PDF, within the stylesheet window, I have edited the Medium:PDF as follows:
stylesheet medium HTML and PDF.PNG
The body in the stylesheet is as follows:
stylesheet body HTML and PDF.PNG
The PDF target settings are as follows:
General tab
PDF target general tab.png
Advanced tab:
PDF target advanced tab.PNG
PDF Options tab:
PDF target pdf options tab.PNG
The problem I'm having are:-
  • a) the tables on my odd-nmbered pages are not fitting to the A4 page, as follows:see attachment below

    b) the margins are not consistent across the pages: there are lots of gaps on left or right side of the A4 pages (see attachment below).
How can I correct these errors, please :?:[/color]

For your graphics, in your PDF medium you could try setting a maximum width, for example "max-width: 98%" or "max-width: 12cm". DON'T set both max width AND max height, or you could end up with your graphics being distorted.

For your tables, we'd need a bit more information. Have you set a total width on your tables, or set a width for all of your columns? Are you using a table stylesheet or just what you get from the regular stylesheet?

I've now set the max width in % but still having the same problem with my images
