TOC that uses a tab to separate text and page number

Post by sarrantsvt »

Our new style is to create TOCs that resemble the attached. But I'm having a heckuva time figuring it out in Flare. I'm able to remove the leader, but am stuck on how to insert a tab between the head and the page number.

I'm pretty sure that, under the hood, Flare sets up a generated table of contents as a table, with the numbers in the right-most column. There's no concept of a tab space in HTML (at least, I don't think there is...). I just don't know that you'll be able to achieve this with Flare, as Flare is programmed right now. Might be a good feature request.

I know I'm not helping. Sorry...

No Nita -- that helps--and I suspected something like that when looking at the two-cell table in the Properties dialog of the p.TOC1 style. I do like the leaders and the page numbers flush left, but have been told that style is very hard to read. Image
