I output my system to multiple documents. When I have a cross-reference pointing to a different chapter/doc, I want the title of that chapter in my cross-reference. For example:
The blue thingamajig (see Chapter 2: Thingamajigs, p. 7) is next to the red thingy (see Chapter 12: Thingys, p. 3).
The page numbers intentionally start at 1 in each of my chapters, so if the reference is out of the current chapter, I need to identify the chapter.
Thanks for the help.
BTW. I already tried {title} and that just gave me the title of the topic I was pointing to.
Cross-Reference and Multiple Doc
Re: Cross-Reference and Multiple Doc
I'm using Auto-Numbers for my Chapter numbers so this would be an acceptable alternative:
The blue thingamajig (see p. 2.7) is next to the red thingy (p. 12.3).
I can't figure out how to access my Auto-Numbers through the cross-reference system. Any help/ideas?

By the way and while you're at it, is there a quick way to convert a standard href to a madcap:xref?
