Format Problems with Print Output

I am trying to generate a pdf output for print, but the result is that my text is spread out, line breaks are awkward, not all styles show up, and the header and footer are not spaced correctly.

I am using an imported page layout for this project, which worked for the original project when generated by the creator of that project and page layout.

My current project is a copy of another project (not the one from which I imported the page layout), done in the previous version of Flare. I deleted all topics that weren't relevant, and added some new topics. I made no other changes to styles, or to the page layout, or to any links.

Is there a conflict between versions of Flare when building outputs? Is this a master page vs. page layout issue? A style guide issue?
