Trying to add headers/footers to PDF output

I am printing directly from Flare to PDF.

I would like to be able to add a header, such as the name of my user guide, and a footer, such as the date the guide was published and the page number, to each page of my ouput except perhaps the title page and TOC.

What is the best and easiest way to add these to my PDF output?

Create at least two page layouts. One for the title page and TOC and the other one for your main content. Set up the frames in those page layouts the way you want, with the different header and footer content. In the TOC, you set the title page to begin a new chapter and specify the page layout for the title page and TOC. Set the first content topic to use the other page layout.
