PDF page margins too small

Post by mattf »

Hi gang,
I thought I saw a post months ago when Flare 4 came out about margins going wiggy in the direct-to-PDF output, but I can't find that now. I was hoping to learn how to set separate margins for PDF output. I don't recall having to do that before since the WordML target used the same margins as the WebHelp. Do I set this in a master page? What's the best practice here?

Thanks,

Matt

For PDF output, Flare uses a Page Layout to generate the layout sections. If you are creating PDF output directly from Flare, you should add a page layout to your project. You can then design separate layouts for right pages, left pages, first pages, title pages, etc. The margins will be controlled by how wide the "Body Frame" is in the page layout.

More help can be found in the Flare help system by searching for page layouts.
