Hello!
I'm new to MadCap. I use Flare 2019 r2.
How can I automatic give ID to every topics in project? Also to new added. Should I use Alias-file or it must be an alternative way, like C++ script?
And if there is regular way, how to merge files with ID, if two or more person work with that project? We use Git, but it didn't help with alias-files.
Many thanks, Ilya

Re: Automatic ID to the topics
Look in the docs for "Automatically Generate Identifiers for All Topics".
Re: Automatic ID to the topics
Well, after I created alias-file and generated identifiers for my project I have IDs for all topics.
But I have another problem:
1. If I created new topic I need manually add ID for it to alias file, can it be done automatically?
2. If I put alias-file in the similar project (same topics, but edited by another writers while merging), ID didn't defined by the same topics and I should auto-generate identifiers again (previously deleted all ID to avoid double it, because MadCap define all topics in new project like unassigned).
Maybe I do something wrong? My goal is to define ID automatically after I or someone created topic and added it in header-file.
