Screen tip on Image

Post by Purple Helen »

Hi - I am a writer not a techie, so bear with me if I don't use the right terminology!

I want to attach a screen tip to an image (a small icon) which I use occasionally. I can see how to do that by editing the image and typing in the words I want in the Screen Tip box.

I want the same words to appear whenever the icon is used, so I clicked the box which said "add alternate name and screen tip for every instance" or words to that effect. This resulted in all the existing instances being checked out and checked back in - so far so good.

BUT - the next time I used the image, no screen tip.

How do I make the screen tip appear for all future uses of the icon, not just existing ones? Can I edit the image file itself some way? :?

Many thanks!

Helen

Are you checking the screen tip in the preview window, or have you built the project and checked it in the output?

In the Preview window - are you suggesting it will only show when I compile the project?

I'm just wondering...

There might need to be some action that copie the screen tip to the other instances. If so, you might need to build to force the update.
