+ and - signs in the TOC

Post by MC Hammer »

Hi all
I am having a "thick" day today and somehow ended up with a CHM in which the TOC pane does not show + or - signs in front of books, indicating that they can be or have been expanded.

I have checked in TocEntry (Skin Editor, Styles tab) that all TOC icons were set to "Not Set" (therefore default) and as I am producing HTML Help, I have left all TOC books with the default style class (In TOC, right-hand click on a book and select Properties).
I cannot think of where else in the project this could be set up and do not understand how it got changed.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Hi, Marie-Claire,

Have a look at this topic in the online Help:

Specifying How the TOC Looks in HTML Help Output

I believe that you need to have the "Lines from root" option selected as well as "Plus/minus squares".

Aaaaaargh, I completely overlooked the HTML Help Setup tab of the skin  .
Thanks, Pete. I have been looking at the Flare help without coming across the above-mentioned topic...
