When I use Insert > Character > Em Dash to enter an em dash in my text, Flare 7 appears to insert an en dash. If I try to insert an en dash, Flare 7 appears to insert a regular hyphen. Has anyone else experienced em dashes appearing as en dashes and en dashes appearing as regular hyphens?
Thank you.

Does it show up correctly in the output? Very often, the Flare editor makes text look differently than it does in the final version.

It doesn't look correct in the output either . . . line is too short in both cases.lacastle wrote:Does it show up correctly in the output? Very often, the Flare editor makes text look differently than it does in the final version.

What font are you using? Flare doesn't support OpenType fonts. Or is it the other types of fonts? Whatever the new types of fonts are. When you use one of those fonts, things tend to look a little wonky, although most people have had a problem with the font spacing, not the size of the em/en dashes.
Anyway, what font are you using?

That's a relatively standard font, so that shouldn't be a problem. Does it look the same way if you use the keyboard shortcut to insert the en (ALT + 0150) or em (ALT + 0151) dash?
