Flare v11 - PDF image load speed and XML editor res

Hello all,

I currently have a ticket submitted about:
- Excessive load times for PDF images.
- Poor rendering of PDF image in the XML editor (actually, all vector images render poorly - this problem goes back to previous versions of Flare...sans PDF images).

Putting aside the rendering issue (only in XML view - the published version is fine)...
Opening a topic, that includes 3 PDF images, requires nearly one minute before the topic appears.

If I remove each of the three PDF images, one at a time, restart Flare and time the topic load:

- 48 seconds load with - 3 PDF images;
- 35 seconds load with - 2 PDF images;
- 20 seconds load with - 1 PDF image;
- 2 seconds load with - 0 PDF images;

I am very happy that Flare v11 now supports PDF images but it really needs some optimization. Has anyone else noticed these issues?

I've also noticed another issue that is rather concerning.

Currently I am only using a few PDF images in my documentation. For instance, an appendix has three wiring diagrams (all PDF images) but I am very concerned about the 2-4 second pause before the images appear when viewing with the Adobe reader. They are rather complex vector images but I have never seen this sort of behavior with equally complex images in other documents.

Before I blame Flare...
- I need to confirm that those other examples are indeed vector images, as opposed to large bitmaps (that could be faster).
- Is this a problem with PDF images vs .svg, etc.?

Anyone else using the new PDF image support in Flare v11?
