'App.Catapult.MainWindow' error

I am getting the following error on opening Flare 2017 r2:

System.Windows.Markup.XamlParseException. The invocation of the constructor on type 'App.Catapult.MainWindow' that matches the specified binding constraints threw an exception.

Please advise on how to sort this. Thanks.

Go to: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\MadCap Software\Flare and delete the Flare folder. A new Flare folder will be created each time you relaunch Flare.

If the AddData files are hidden, follow this:

1. Click Start button > Computer.
2. Double-click Local Disk (C:)
3. Click the Users folder > user name.
4. Click Organize drop-down list and choose Folder and search options.
5. Select View tab.
6. Under Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives radio button.
7. Press OK.

Also, MadCap support offered the following resolution:

.. Not able to access Flare and getting a "System.Windows.Markup.XmlParseException" error message. We advised that this error usually means that there is an issue with the "Fontsets.mcfst" file on the machine. Please follow the path below of the affected machine and delete or rename this file i.e.- "fontsets.mcfst.BAD".

Same problem here - although neither solution works.

A possible wrinkle is that I just upgraded from r2 to r3.
