Search Filter (Exclude)

Our product has thousands of parameters. In HTML5 output, I want to provide a topic for each individual parameter, with a search filter that will allow users to choose to search only the parameter topics. I also want to provide a search filter that will exclude all the parameter topics. The only way I can see to do this is to add a "non-parameter" concept to ALL the other topics (which is tedious). Does anyone know of a way to either:

• Set up a search filter to exclude topics with a given concept.
• Quickly apply a concept to multiple topics in separate folders.
