Can macros be shared?

Post by nielsf »

Hi,
Where are Flare macros stored, and can they be shared among users?

Yes, per Flare’s documentation. Read more here: http://help.madcapsoftware.com/flare201 ... Macros.htm

This is in the V11 What's New. I didn't find it in the the 2017 guide.

"Tip: Macros are stored in the AppData folder on your computer, which can be accessed in various
ways, depending on your operating system (e.g., in Windows 7, click Start, enter %appdata% in
the search field, and press Enter). The file is named "Macros" and is stored in the MadCap Software/Flare/Macros
subfolder. If you work with a team of writers and want everyone to use the
same macros, you can copy this file and send it to the rest of your team, having them replace the
same file in their AppData folders."
Trent.

Certifiable.
