Got most of the other things fixed (the compatibility settings = OFF, plus select Run as administrator).
Now my cursor is absolutely enormous in Flare. Any thoughts?

in case it helps anyone else, I believe this had to do with the last windoze update
Specifically, MadCap said to fix the .NET program - but there's no way to access or even see that now, as it seems to be rolled into windoze updates. So after a lot of research, I just uninstalled the last update, and it was fixed. I also did all the folder/file removals, and did a repair on Flare, so not entirely clear what fixed it but those are the steps to try.
